ABOUT LAYLA

I was raised in a Catholic family and was a child who questioned everything deeply. By middle school I decided that I wanted to know God directly from within myself, not through a priest or rituals, although I was moved by the life and words of Jesus. Several years into my search, I found an inner-centered path and began my awakening journey. I was initiated into yogic meditation by a Guru from India, whereby unspeakable light and love was revealed within, which I immediately recognized as the eternal truth of God, not only radiating within but also through me. I was 17 years old, and what I had asked for as a young girl, I had received. I then devoted myself to living in an ashram for three years in upstate New York, where many hours of meditation and community service were the daily practice.

After those foundational years I brought all of my transformational experience into a practical adult life, becoming a massage therapist, yoga and meditation instructor, and integrative health counselor, working with mental health and recovery communities.  After raising my daughter, I traveled around the world, sharing my skills and spiritual goodwill with people in many countries and cultures.

During the past twenty years I’ve come full circle, having found that the universal message of Jesus in A Course in Miracles has offered me a complete return to the eternal light and love that started my journey so long ago.  Now somewhat retired and a happy grandmother, I dedicate my life to teaching that true peace, love and contentment is found within and the way to it is simple, practical and available to everyone, here and now. And most important: that peace is our true nature, and seeks to share itself unconditionally with all beings, without exception, no matter what seems to be arising in our lives and that of the world.

For all of the grace and guidance that I continue to receive, and for all of you who inspire me every day to practice love, kindness and forgiveness, I am forever grateful.

Love to All,

Layla
